Rachael reached out to me to ask if I was available to plan a couple’s session with her and her husband Tyson in Budapest, to celebrate her 30th birthday. The location she mentioned to me was everything and more I could dream of. This place is unreal, I love the bright and airy feel that suits my photography style very well. We met each other in the early morning at 05:30 am and had the most beautiful sunrise. Rachael and Tyson are the sweetest and most thankful clients I can imagine. It was so lovely to meet them and capture their love for one another.
Some words from Rachael:
My husband wanted to do something special and timeless for my 30th birthday. It had always been a dream of mine to take beautiful pictures in a breathtaking dress with a long train cascading down some gorgeous stairs. I soon realized, what better place to take these pictures than the very city where my grandparents were from – Budapest. Both my grandparents have passed on and I was excited to travel to Budapest in hopes of bringing back the many memories that I had of them growing up.
I loved the location of Fisherman’s Bastion because of its viewpoint over the city of Budapest. The iconic Parliament building along the Danube river, St. Matthias church in the background and of course the many beautiful architectural features that the city has to offer.
I found Michelle through several other European photographers that I followed on instagram and immediately fell in love with the style and feel of her photography. What I loved was her passion and excitement for every aspect and moment of our shoot.
This photo session was beyond magical and one of the most incredible sunrises I have ever experienced. Being able to take photos with such a beautiful background, during a calm and peaceful sunrise will be something I will always treasure. I am Hungarian so taking pictures in Budapest felt like a connection to my family’s heritage and memories of my grandmother.
