I can do engagement sessions like this every day! With my bare feet in the sand, my camera in one hand and an incredible sweet and handsome couple in front of my lens. In the spring, on the beach of Ameland.
My family has a little house on Ameland, which makes me lucky that I can visit the island often and do photo sessions.
I just love taking intimate portraits which are beautiful and relaxed. The beautiful natural light and soft colors of the island make the perfect background for this engagement session. During the engagement shoot, Chris and Hanneke enjoyed this moment to the fullest, and especially their love for each other. The images speak for themselves, I think. What can love be a beautiful thing!

Chris and Hanneke:
We have planned a day on Ameland and both did not really know what to expect from it. The information you gave us in advance was very nice and helpful. Tips about what we could wear, a mood board and that we should not forget the beautiful engagement ring. Once we have seen you on the island, we became more relaxed and we felt excited about it. You have some beautiful equipment so that we were no longer noticing the camera at a given moment. Of course I know you a little bit of our running group, but suddenly I saw a lot more of you during the shoot. You were shining, was very enthusiastic and had a lot of fun. Because of you we felt your energy too and enjoyed the photo session. You gave us subtle instructions and brought us closer together: very cool.
Being engaged is great, but there is more to it than expected. The shoot was the perfect way to have a romantic moment with just the two of us. When we see the beautiful pictures we experience these moments again.

Before I was engaged I had never thought about a loveshoot or engagement session. But when I think back to the shoot and see the pictures I would recommend it to everyone. Some of the photos are now framed in our new house!
