This is a wedding that I was really looking forward to! Two years ago I was on a plane to Portugal. I was sitting next to an elderly couple and we started talking about our holiday and also about our daily life in the Netherlands. I mentioned that I’m a wedding photographer and showed them some wedding pictures. A year later I received a call from Carin, who was a bride to be. She asked me if I was the photographer who had sat next to her father on the plane to Portugal a year ago, because her father had been so excited about my photography that they started a search on the Internet to find me. All he could remember was that I was from Groningen, and that’s how they found me! We planned a meeting and a year later I photographed the wedding of Carien and Marvin at the beautiful Stadsvilla Sonsbeek in Arnhem. And what a great day it was with lovely weather!

Getting married at a white villa

They chose to get married at Stadsvilla Sonsbeek, which is a beautiful white villa with a view over the city of Arnhem.

We took wedding portraits in Park Sonsbeek, where you can find many beautiful places for romantic wedding photos. The colors of Marvin’s wedding suit and Carien her bridal bouquet came together beautifully with the natural colors of the park.

At the end of the day it was time for dinner, which took place on the balcony of Stadsvilla Sonsbeek. The light was beautiful and the balcony has the best view over the city of Arnhem.
